Easy Way to Edit Videos for iPad on Mac
This step by step guide is dedicating to demonstrate how to edit, crop and combine video for
iPad on Mac OS X (Leopard supported) with an amazing software-iPad video editor for Mac, which possessing both
converting and editing functions. This article will present its
editing function from the following four parts:
Prerequisite: Free download this iPad video editor for Mac on your computer, install and run it. A friendly interface will pop up.
Click Add File button to load files into the editor, then you can start editing files for iPad on Mac.
Part 1. Clip Video Segment
Click Clip button to open the clip window
There are three ways to set the video duration:
1) Drag the slider bar
When preview, adjust the start and end position of your clip by dragging the slider bar below the Preview Windows.
2) Set the values
click the up and down arrow to adjust the Start and End time manually and click "OK".
3) Click square brackets buttons
Click open square bracket button to set the right playing time as start point, when the video is playing at the point you want to stop, click close square bracket.

Part 2. Crop and Set Aspect Ratio
This is for cutting out the unwanted part like subtitle, credits and black sides. Click Edit button to open the defaulted Crop window, then you can start cropping.
There are also three ways available:
1) Drag the crop frame
Just move your mouse cursor to an adjustment box and drag the crop frame, click "OK".
2) Set the crop values
Enter the specific numbers in the Left, Right, Top, Bottom box to decide the part that you want to cut out, the crop frame will move accordingly.
3) Select a Zoom mode
With the
iPad video editor for Mac, you can also set the output aspect ratio from the Zoom. There are four choices available: Original, Full, 16:9 and 4:3.
Part 3. Effect Video for iPad
Click Edit button to open the Crop & Effect window, then click Effect button to open Effect panel.
There are two ways to apply effects to edit your video for iPad:
1) Drag corresponding bars
Adjust Brightness, Contrast, Saturation by dragging the corresponding bar to get the ideal effect you want.
2) Select from Effect drop-down list
Apply special effect such as Gray, Emboss, Old film for your video from the Effect drop-down list.
Note: You can also do iPad video editing like Rotate(vertical and horizontal available) when crop and apply effect for your iPad files.
Part 4. Set Output Parameters
To get ideal output video/audio effect, you can set Resolution, FrameRate, Encoder and Bitrate of video, SampleRate, Channel, Encoder and BitRate of audio by clicking Settings button on the left of the Start button.
Note: If you want to merge(join, combine) several video files into a whole one, on the main interface, click and drag the mouse to check all the files you want to combine, then click “Merge”, done. There will be a new merge file appearing in the source column.
