I guess it depends on your industry. I work in web/graphic design and consulting. I need to share a lot of images and videos with clients frequently. Droplr provides a consistent experience and I can always go back and get the shortened links at any time. I can also pull them from any computer. So for what I do, with media, it is extremely useful and intuitive. convert flv video for mac But let's say I turned the news while driving I get a text message or I will never get the message until I'm bak home, and then turn it back?

Always remember that building your own boat doesn't encourage building it by yourself alone. Of course you'll need help once in a while. Building your own boat means you make the output as you please. You can hire craftsmen to do the labor work. The most important thing in here is that it is done as you pleased, as you designed it to be.
