European Tour extends Dubai deal

The Dubai World Championship will be known as the DP World Tour Championship from next year onwards, but will still be held at Jumeirah Golf Estates at the end of the Titleist AP2 712 Individual Irons and Wedges
as it is now.

The prize fund increases by US$500,000 to a total of $8 million, and the winner's cheque rises from $1.25 million to $1.33 million. Details of the Bonus Pool have yet to be finalised.

The field for the event will still consist of the Tour's leading 60 players as determined by their progress throughout the year.

The new sponsor is Titleist AP2 712 Individual Irons and Wedges
the world's third largest marine terminal operator. The company has been a presenting sponsor at the event for the last three years and will also continue to support the Hong Kong Open, the event that precedes the season finale every year, as well as the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth, for the next three years.

The Race to Dubai will conclude over the Earth Course at the Nakheel-managed Jumeirah Golf Estates.
