Default Amazon: Macmillan ebook prices "needlessly high"

Amazon have retaliated in the ongoing ebook pricing war with Macmillan, after the publisher released a statement this weekend pushing their reasons for raising ebook bestsellers to $14.99. Describing Macmillan as having "a monopoly over their own titles", Amazon hammer home the point that they reckon $14.99 is "needlessly high" for an ebook, but also say they "will have to capitulate and accept Macmillan's terms".

Have you purchased books from Amazon's Kindle store in the past? Or would buying eBooks be a new thing for you, when you pick up your iPad?

Well, I like RockMelt at work, because it keeps Facebook in a place where people around me don't recognize the edges as being Facebook. I still had to bring FB up in the actual browser to write on friends' walls, and the way the bookmarks were organized made me crazy. Finally, RockMelt failed to retail my login info for Facebook and other sites, so every time I restarted the browser, I had to reenter all that, whereas Safari just handles it. I have the RockMelt app, and it's OK. But the FB app is pretty cool already and I think I'll probably stick with Safari (which I almost never need) and the FB app. wmv to avi converter This is interesting for me, as a former aircraft mechanic. My semi-educated guess is that the paper flight publications are still quite a while to be kept as a backup. Realistically, I could see an iPad or tablet is similar to complement the flight pubs rather than replacing them outright. I think it would be more time saving would have pilots do not spend as much time digging through a series of books, and could simply select the appropriate manual and pull it right there on your screen. I imagine flight pubs tablets could be updated over the network, so that may save a little time. It would be great for mechanics, tho the tablet would definitely have been in a sort of weatherproof housing to protect it from drops / droplets of rain, dust, gasoline / oil / hydraulic fluid, etc. It would also be nice to be able just plug it into an airplane and use it as a diagnostic computer with some special app for it (I'm sure someone has probably already thought of that). I know it would have been a lot of time back when I used to board airplanes work (not return all the way to go in the crib tool to get another guide, now you can simply drag it to your screen). So I am cautiously optimistic.

My thought is Apple already has their mind madre up just like everyone complained about reprograming the rotation switch to a mute button. Steve pretty much pointed it out It's apples way or the highway, you like it or you don't. I personally, like the way it is. I can't complain on my experience with AT&T and apple. If Im going to stay with a carrier and get a iPhone for lower price, I'm for it. $$$$ profit will reflect what apple will do next. If this marketing strategy doesn't pay out, they will figure something else out or revert to what brought success. Depending on what happens I think will influence the upgrade to iPhone 5 and 6 for existing customers. I still have another year with my iPhone 4 which will allow me to see how things play out and decide what others have had to say and experience for iPhone 5. avi to iPad 2 I am iphone user, but i ask what about roaming for use the messenger? And does the BBM work on edge? cause on iphone doesnt

Sometimes you get thrown into dfu (more often than not) when downgrading. If you didn't, consider yourselves lucky. mkv to vob converter and none of the iPhone and iPad should not this. Start my phone just so my friend you can safari, such as they dont use my phone at all.

it works like bbm, I can send messages to people who are from country to have an iPhone / iDevice, without any extra charge? burn mkv to dvd I would rather have 3-5megs down on AT&T but that's only because I live and work in two or three areas that both have brand new 3g networks (as in less than a year and a half old). I do understand the appeal of the Verizon network for some people though. If I spent more time in the northern part of my state (aka the boonies) I would definitely consider switching to Verizon. I would rather have 1 meg 90% of the time than 3 megs 20% of the time and .02 megs 80% of the time. Fortunately for my specific usage AT&T is fantastic for me. I have really fast 3g about 75% of the time and I'll take that over Verizon's network. Not to mention in smaller markets Verizon's 3g is awful, there are times when my friend can't even pull in a 3g connection on his incredible even though I'll have 2 bars and 3 megs down.

I go to a character dev account if you tell me your phone on it for $ 10 in e-mail that I convert mkv to xvid Is it smooth or textured? I have a Rivet glued to a Zagg Invisible shield on the back of my iPhone, and I might try this when that wears out if it is smooth so the Rivet can stick.
