Default Apple Offers $99 iPad Replacement for Faulty Batteries

We figured this was big enough to bring it to your attention, so hopefully your Saturday afternoon is going well. More than likely, you've still had a few technical questions in your head, even after the pre-orders for Apple's tablet went under way. Like, for example, how on Earth are you supposed to replace that battery if something isn't working as well as it should? You can't just pop off the back and replace it yourself (much like the iPod Touch/iPhone), so what's a customer to do? No worries, Apple's got you covered.

As long as you don't damage your tablet, by any means, and if it legitimately won't hold a charge for one reason or another, then Apple is going to go ahead and replace your iPad. Yes, you read that right. They're not going to fix your iPad, but they're going to give you an entirely new one. They even go as far as to say that before you send in your tablet, you need to remember to plug it into your computer and sync it with iTunes, so that it gets backed up.

Now, sure, this is some great news, and obviously Apple's got your back if something goes wrong with your product. But, let's face it, they're not going to do this just out of the good grace of their hearts. Negative. They're charging a service fee for the, well, service, and it will cost you $99. It could be worse. After the pricing is all said and done, including tax, you'll be out an additional $105.95, but again, you could be paying whatever you paid originally for your iPad to get a new one. Which is exactly what you're getting. Do you think that's a good thing, or a bad thing?

You'd think, and maybe there's something along those lines included with the Apple CARE plan that's being offered with the iPad. But, it's looking like Apple's charging the $105 because they're offering you the replacement iPad, not just the battery.

I think if the iPad comes back as dented, or scratched, you'll probably be charged the full price of a new iPad. They'll just say that you damaging the tablet made it so that the battery can't hold a charge, I'd imagine.

Considering that Tim Cook himself said that an LTE iPhone is at least 1 generation away because Apple didn't want to make design compromises with the current design. how to convert vob to avi I use the Google Maps to regularly review the bus schedule (based on Google Transit, I'm sure). I would love to keep this functionality, but would be nice if they come up with another source other than Google Maps, maybe an open source option like OpenStreetMap?
