Edit AVCHD in FCP-Convert Sony AVCHD to ProRes 422 codec on Mac

Question: Do you have a Sony AVCHD camcorder? Do you want to import or edit Sony AVCHD to Final Cut Pro?

The answer is: Of course.

However, Final Cut Pro can not import a stand-alone AVCHD video file. And I found many users wanna sove the trouble. So through google search and found many related issues about "How to import AVCHD MTS to FCP for editing?" For example:

I have a Sony HDR SR-11, and the latest version of FCPro operating on MAC PRO with OS X 10.5.4.
I used log and transfer to bring up all of the video clips.
I imported them (with audio) and converting audio to stereo.
When I played the video's back in FCPro, all of the audio was out of sync.
Are there other settings that I need to set before importing to avoid this problem?
Any idea how to prevent this?

I have a Panasonic AG-HSC1U and am having a VERY hard time ingesting footage. Sometimes log & transfer works and sometimes it doesn't. Mostly the later. The path selected is to the "No Name" disc. Which works about 20% of the time. I tried trashing the preferences, this seemed to help for a few times, but then that stopped working. I also cleared the cache which worked once...yes once. This is extremely frustrating. I have tried to get the footage in via the 40GB storage device with the same issues. It seems that the update for ingesting the AVCHD footage is not up to par. Any suggestions, othet than reinstalling FCP?
