Exclamation Is the iPad actually a device from the future?

Sure, the iPad is definitely making some waves. No doubt about it. For many people out there, who take their Flash-based mobile web very seriously, the iPad is a big punch in the face. But, what about the other questions that people have on their mind? Like, is the iPad going to be a hit? Is the 3G version even worth it? And, will the iPad herald in the grandiose entrance of HTML 5, and the subsequent disbursement of Flash?

All of these questions, and more, were answered by some of the industry's most intelligent minds. The read link will give you quick access to the in-depth article from Laptop Mag, and we definitely think you should head over there and peruse the contents.

When you're all done with that, head on back here, and let us know what you think. Or, in fact, how about you give us some of your own questions, and we'll discuss them here. You never know what we may come up with.

I wouldn't say ipad is the device from the future, but definitely going to influence the design and execution of future devices made by other manufacturers --- much like the impact iPhone made on smartphones.

I think Michael and Tim "get it". Roger and Ross, not so much.

They all agree it will sell millions but Roger and Ross don"t seem to know why. Sounds like they are taking "guarded positions". I respect Tim's opinion. Always have since the good days (mid 90s) when I was writing and editing for Pen Computing Magazine.

The reality will soon be upon us.

I thought this was a great post full of some excellent points. I've written two replies on it (linked below), and I'm hoping it will spark discussion and action that relates to both where information tech is head and what the needs of our patrons are.

Sure would be nice if Beejive OTR support for secure IM sessions ... Peter Andre - Mysterious Girl ..... they just do not make em anymore mkv to ps3 Never attempt to make the IOS GM seeds on your iPhone when you are not a developer. If you are a developer of the device in the system as a dev machine and any standard device is not placed on them. This means that you are not able to update and Apple can figure out. This might even brick your iPhone and do not let access it.

I agree. I spend $ 70 on my smart cover like and how it up when I open it, I might, in conjunction with the Smart i will be sure to cover corners. iPad transfer Mac I don't think this is the case. Usually is the rest of the companies trying to match and surpass what Apple does, nit the other way around. I agree with the comment that Apple is doing tests with different prototypes. I work in manufacturing and we do this all the time until we nail down the final design.
