For the love of God, stop your bitching about the lack of a camera on the iPad - yes, you know who you are! Cameras are everywhere...they're in phones, laptops, desktops, quick shooters, DSLR --- the world doesn't need another device with a camera in it! Don't get me wrong, it's nice to have one built-in but definitely not a must (for me). There - I've said my peace.

I agree wholeheartedly about the camera, at least on the backside. Holding the iPad up to your face to take a picture would be painful in any real events. But, if they did have a camera, they could have used it for a lot of different, and interesting things. Like in the medical field, or even educational field.

However, if they were so dead-set on releasing it with AT&T, then I would have loved to see a front-side camera. Video calling is something that I think could really take off here in the States, as so many people would love to use it/try it out.

Should Apple add a camera to iPad 2.0, they need to borrow Notion Ink's concept of a swivel action camera. It just makes sense; while having higher res camera on the back and a lower res on the front doesn't.

i am not a fan of having a camera, however i could see myself using it in the case of a swivel camera

It could just be a blurry shot, but there seems to be a spot on the top of this iPad (the one Jobs was holding in his keynote) that does look like an iSight camera. Very strange; especially considering the latest info of the opening in the framework for a camera.
